Master Bedroom

Before (there are 2 layers of wallpaper under this paint):

After days of scraping wallpaper and priming the room, we had to cut a big square out of the ceiling where water damage (from the hole in the roof) rotted the wood lath underneath the drywall. We painted the lath with antibacterial paint that DadKuhn had leftover from when the nursing home flooded last year:

The square we cut:

Primed walls:

Touched up the windows, painted the baseboard covers, spackled/sanded walls, replaced part of the ceiling, painted walls.......

TADA!!! :

We are moving out of the dining room and into the master bedroom this weekend-now we can have guests over in our living room and we won't be sitting in our bedroom at the same time :)

  2. You guys are such hard workers!! You're gonna need a vacation this summer! (seattle seems like a great place to vacation! ;)
    The bedroom looks GREAT!!
I like the color a lot, and it will look great with your bedroom set!
Also, I agree with the vinyl tile...we had real tile/slate in our old apartment and it was COLD! and, even in a newish apartment, there were still cracks! Vinyl is so much easier to care for. I like the lighter color a lot!
It's gonna look like a whole new house by the time you get finished! :) Can't wait to see it this September!!
